OWL K-1 Participant Registration and Consent Form

This year, the UUCE will offer the class Our Whole Lives (OWL): Sexuality Education for Kindergarten to Grade 1 (ages 5 -7). The program will be offered on Sundays, twice per month in (8) one-hour sessions, beginning in January 2018 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Evansville, 2910 East Morgan Avenue.

This course is part of a lifespan sexuality education program developed for use by Unitarian Universalists and others, which has received acclaim from both parents and participants alike. The OWL program is a values-based sexuality education program that embodies UU values, including the dignity of the individual, the importance of personal responsibility, and the essential interdependence of all people. Other OWL curriculum has been developed for youth in grades 4-6, grades 7-9, grades 10-12, and adults. The UUCE OWL Team can offer OWL courses for varying age groups, in order to provide the most opportunity for our congregation’s youth and adults.

Parents who are interested in having their child(ren) participate in OWL should attend the Parent Meeting on November 5 at 3:00pm in the church sanctuary. Nancy Higgs and Ashley Perkins will describe the program and answer questions. Advance registration and signed parental consent forms will be collected. *Child care will be provided for the Parent Meeting.*
